Analyze The Production Capacity And Strategies of Panda & Mickey Compa
Question: Discuss about the Analyze The Production Capacity And Strategies of Panda Mickey Company. Answer: Introduction. The purpose of this report is to critically analyze the production capacity and strategies used by Panda Mickey Company. This company basically deals with manufacturing specialized toys and other children products. Recently, the company produced a new product for children so as to enlarge the market and generate more profits. The process involved high production cost and the company results to gather advice from middle level manager. The manager will help the company to implement a new corporate cost-cutting strategy. This kind of a technology will replace some personnel in specific areas of work. Therefore, the initiative faces a lot of resistance from these group which actually results to sever hostility. Therefore, this paper aims at analyzing the scenario facing Panda Mickey Company. Organization problem. The organizational problem facing Panda mickey is themanagement of workers based on the decisions made by the company. It is a requirement in the regulations governing the employees to hold ethical standards at workplace (Chopra, 2012). Therefore, employees of any particular company need to respect the decisions made by the management of the company regarding particular issues. However, in Panda Mickey Company, the employees failed to act ethically. Three causes of organization problem in the company. Just like many other companies, Panda Mickey Company face a lot of organization problems in the process of achieving the overall objectives of the company. These problems are closely associated to mechanisms applied by the company when planning, leading, organizing and controlling various aspects in the company (Arnold, 2010). To start with, the first problem arises from the production of a new product for children. This make the company to apply the new technology in some areas of work. This is basically going to replace the workers who initially worked in these department. Here, the problem is planning. The company failed to plan on the implications that are going to face these workers after replacement. Secondly, the other organization problem that arise leading (Kanungo Manuel, 2014). Themanagement of Panda Mickey is a bid weak in management. They dont have proper skill to make viable decisions and judgment on behalf of the company. Ideally, a well-organized and skilled make d ecisions and apply strategies that must be followed by the workers of that company however difficult they seem to be. However, in this company, difficulties arise when initiating new strategies. There is a perfect positive correlation between the resistance and how the management of the company operates. Lastly, the other organization problem facing the company is control. The resistance and hostility demonstrated by the workers of Panda Mickey Company is a clear indicator that the management lack skills to control the workers when crisis arise in workplace. It is purely a mandate of any management team to ensure the control of the workers is highly contained using all means possible. Otherwise the company will face problems that will result to negative impact in the company organization structure as well as financial crisis (Marylene, 2014). This is because, failure to control the workers completely make the operation of activities in the company difficult. The progress stops instantly when chaos and entropy lead the operation of the company. Therefore, for now Panda Mickey company need to put planning, leading, organizing and controlling as their first priorities so as to fully contain the current organizational problems that have affected the operations of the company. Critical underlying cause. In this particular scenario, the critical underlying cause of the above organizational problems is the relationship between technology and its effects to the workers. One fact is that technology is part of daily operations that need to be applied by any company. There are a lot of advantages that are associated to the proper use of technology available. However, in this scenario, the company aim at applying this technology as a cost-cutting strategy (Maslow, 2013). On the hand, the technology will replace the workers in some departments in the company. For the company, this is a good strategy because it is a cost-cutting strategy. On the side of the workers, it is a bad technology because they will be replaced hence losing their jobs. In summary, the critical underlying cause is based on workers who need to protect their jobs. Analysis of most likely cause. It is important for the management to realize that this is a very serious problem that is going to affect many developments of Panda Mickey Company. This problem need to be solved so as to avoid the company from making losses (McGregor, 2012). If the company fail to operate due to these crisis, a gap may exist in the market and this will favor the competition by having the competitive advantage. Hence, this problem, need to be solved to save the reputations of the company and the workers. Possible solutions. When crisis arise in any organization, the best thing to do is to look for long lasting solutions. Therefore, this part aim at putting forward three possible solutions facing Panda Mickey Company. First, the company need to have proper planning when initiating strategies. In this scenario, it is very clear that the management of this company did not have proper planning due to the demonstrations that resulted from the initiation of the corporate strategy (Richard, 2013). The company needed to notify the workers on the impact of the technology in the daily operations of the company. This would have made the workers to fully understand the importance of the underlying technology. The possible solution here is to retain the workers by shifting them to other areas of work. The next solution is based on control. The management need to control the anger of the workers. The resistance and hostility demonstrate the fact that the workers are not satisfied with the strategy under consideration. Therefore, the company need to check the profit statement of the company and offer a compensation plan to all the workers the technology aims to replace (Baily, Farmer Crocker, 2015). This will be a good deal to these workers rather than sending them home empty handed. This solution is likely to help the company to initiate this strategy and ensure a win-win situation. Lastly, the possible solution would involve organizing and leading, this implies that, the company may reveal the strategy on the application of the technology. Panda Mickey Company has a lot branches in the city. These branches may also need this technology. Therefore, instead of replacing the workers, the company may train the workers on how to apply this technology in achieving the best returns to the company (Ballantyne, 2007). All the online stores need to be fully empowered by giving the workers affected by the technology. The company will be able to solve the underlying problem without affecting the reputations of the company and the workers. Environmental factors and the solutions. There are two environmental factors that impact the underlying cause. First, the pollution that can result from the production process. Many companies in the manufacturing sector use technology that may affect the environment during manufacturing. If this technology is not friendly to the environment, then there is any reason that workers should resist the initiation. Secondly, many companies use fuel from the surrounding environment. The technology may result to environmental degradation as they try to stress the available resources in the environment so as to meet the requirements of the technology. The solutions to these factors are very important. The company need to satisfy the environmental reservation agency that their technology is environmental friendly (Ryan Deci, 2017). If this is not so, then the company need to provide mechanisms to dispose any wastes to the environment in a way that will not have negative impacts to the environment. Most appropriate solution. The most appropriate solution that the company need to adopt is a win-win situation. The workers need to be satisfied about their reputations as well as the company (Bragg, 2015). For the workers, the company can shift them to other departments in various cities in Australia where the company operate. Again, the company need to offer a compensation plan to those workers to be replaced by the technological strategy. Recommendations. The management of Panda Mickey failed to plan on the reputation of the workers to be replaced by application of technology due to its management negligence and risks of uncertainty. Thus, to have a clear vision and direction for Panda Mickey two recommendations will be made. The company need to reconsider their initiation procedure before applying the underlying strategy. The workers need to be consulted on their view about the technology. If the company reach into an agreement, them all the application to this decision must apply to both the company and the workers (Thomas, 2009). Otherwise, we recommend a win-win situation between the company and the workers to avoid poor performance of the company. The company need to benchmark the scenario from other companies who faced similar problem in the past. This will help the company to critically analyze their current situation. Panda Mickey Company may enact the solutions applied by those companies or generate better solutions concerning this problem. References. Arnold, J. (2010). Since the inception of independent Bangladesh, Commercial Banks,Development Financial Institutions and Investment Corporation of Bangladesh have been the major sourcesof industrial finance in the country. These Banks were predominately serving the public sector by extendingsupport in the form of long term loan, working capital finance, bridge finance etc. and had limited experiencein trade, commerce and industry. Due to dearth of experience in investment decision, project financing, recovery of loan and recycle of loan, both entrepreneurs and Banking Financial Institutions coupled withdifficulties at every stage of development and accomplishment which ultimately led to the emergence ofà many sick industries. The Development Financial Institutions (DFI s) that depend largely on external assistance suffer fromfinancial constrains because of ineffective project appraisal. Imprudent investment decisions, poor recoveryand inability to recycle of loan which resulted in withdrawal of fund by international donors. As a result ofà poor performance and withdrawal of external support, the liquidity position of DFI s have declined and abilityof sanctioning fresh loan and of refinancing sick industries reduced. Nationalized commercial Banks areusually reluctant to finance capital expenditure due to higher financial risk and poor recovery and designedto promote the nonproductive sectors. Besides, their loan operation was substantially diminished due toadditional cash reserve requirement imposed by Bangladesh Bank in order to curb inflation. Consequently, genuine industrial clients are affected by their limited access to the long-term local currency loan. Personal Goals Essays
Personal Goals Essays Personal Goals Essay Personal Goals Essay I have made several goals and aims that I feel I should meet in order to gain a profit and to help me to run my business successfully. My main aim is to find a local vacant business site and make recommendations on the business idea. I could develop this local business site into my business. Afterwards if all the planning looks reliable I will go ahead with my ideas. I want to open a business that is prosperous and can make me have my own personal satisfaction. Personal Goals My personal goals are to be able to feel content with the outcome of my business. I want to bring a new trend of clothing to British people, especially young youths. With the money made I want to be able to settle down and start a family. I also want to provide the consumers wants and needs. Plus have a good relationship between my employees and customers. I felt that I was motivated by the youth in my society. I know that the youths are craving for these materials after conducting some interview this was the most desired shop. I know for a fact that the things would sell to the youth of my community. Also have always wanted to work for myself and be my own boss. I find it less hassle once my business gets of the ground to work for myself than have the hassle working for someone else. My personal aim is to make new friends and new contacts I would like to leave the business when it is successful to my children. Business Aims I want to be able to maintain a steady profit margin in while running my business. I need to make sure that the launch of my business is well promoted and advertised to the public. Be able to borrow sufficient money for my business from a bank loan. I want to be able to provide a good service to my customers and make them feel comfortable. I want to be able to pick the right location. I would have a sales promotion to try and encourage customers to buy from my shop. I want to be able to expand my business when the time is right. I want to be able to situate my business in a part of London. I would also install changing rooms and security men because it would be tempting to buy from my stall. But this will be useless if I didnt find a vacant local business site. My main business aim is to find that site with the right location. Then make recommendations pertaining to the site and the business. It is essential that the location I choose is legitimate because if I buy a premises and the price is to high or not enough customers pass by there. The before I start my business is already doomed. Methods of arriving at my aims If I want to fulfil my aims there are certain procedures I have to take into consideration. I would need to carry out some research into my chosen field to try and find out what my potential customers want. I would find my data by conducting a field research to gain customers views. I will use questionnaires as my tool for my research. It would provide facts and figures that are up to date, appropriate and specifically on what I want to find out. The disadvantage is that it is expensive to collect, I may get a low response rate and I need a large sample size to get an legitimate result. To have a good relationship with my employees I would be polite and courteous towards them. Like no other job I would make them look forward to coming in to work. I am going to definitely use Abraham Maslows motivation theory, which is: Methods of arriving at my aims To make certain that the local public know about the arrival of my business and it location I will need to advertise my business. Since I dont have a lot of money to spend I would advertise locally first then expand. But for the time being I will advertise on a local radio station. I would consider the time as well, I would want to put my message on when potential customers would be listening. For example I want young youths so I would put my advertisement on what they would be listening to. I wouldnt put it on when the classical music program is playing. To find out what youths listen to I would ask them that in my questionnaire. Also I would set up some posters to give an visual effect. Most people may not know what I am going to sell. The poster would have some sample clothing of what I would sell in the shop. The potential buyers would see it and would want to have it and be able to see more. My adverts would be persuasive and try to convince the consumer that they need this product to look cool. They would play on peoples fears and vulnerabilities and cause desires that didnt exist before. In order to keep customers coming back regularly I would use the pricing strategy of skimming. I would charge a high price for the product first which would attract people with large incomes. When the product has been established I would then lower the price to make it a mass-market product. The customers would feel they are getting a bargain and buy the product. Also after a few months when the sales start to reduce I would introduce discounts to the products. When the price decreases the quantity of demand would rise. These clothes would become a substitute to the other expensive clothing that is worn. I will also sell current cool clothes to attract the customers. Also there would be a constant piece of advertising in my front window. A manikin would be placed in front of the shop window displaying some clothing. This method is known as point of sale advertising. In order to pick the right location I need to consider how customers can travel to my store. Is it easy to get to? The easier it is to get to and the more noticeable it is the more customers I would receive. I would try to make the store as modern as possible to make it appeal to the young youths. I would also play music in the store that they would be into to help them feel more welcome and relaxed. My Business Objectives It is a necessity for my business to have understandable and clear objectives in for my business to run according to plan I need objectives and goals to set. An objective is anything that the business wants to achieve. The reason I am opening a business is because I want to be able to provide a different style of clothing to the youths of today. I also would like to feel independence that comes from being my own boss. I intend to meet new people and make new companions. I want my store to be diverse according to the other stores. I want to be able introduce new trend to the society. I would investigate the chosen area to see the crime rates and the transport and communication links. Also I would research on what other shops look like selling products similar to mine. It would help me accumulate more information about what features modern shops have. Which would result in better ideas. I anticipate that the average product life cycle of my products would be like this: My main business objective is to make a substantial profit, which would allow me to pay the bills and be able to have some money left over for me to live off. I need to be able to fulfil my needs which are food, water, warmth, shelter and clothing. An additional objective would be to supply the clothes that the public demand from my business. Also my turnover should always be greater than my expenses.

Lorenzo de Medeci and the Renaissance Research Paper
Lorenzo de Medeci and the Renaissance - Research Paper Example Through a combination of skill, capability and the Medici familyââ¬â¢s dominant position in the Florentine government and society, Lorenzo was able to impose his secular views on the Italian society, changed its politics, help create a spurt of renaissance art and engage and influence the church and its role in the Italian community. Collectively these developments spilled over the rest of Europe, in effect, making Lorenzoââ¬â¢s influence far-reaching. Secular Views One of the defining concepts of the Renaissance is the humanist movement. Here, Italy started to veer away from the religiosity that typified the medieval tradition and focused more on creating art or works of literature, materialism and wealth (Romano 31). Lorenzo is crucial in this area because these are the very concepts that he believed in, promoted and supported. He was the quintessential Renaissance ideal who believed that the ancient Greece and its mythologies could teach and educate people in Renaissance Ita ly on important ideas that include beauty, way of life, values, among others. This is the reason why Lorenzo was a generous patron of the arts and that he saw fulfillment in the humanist values. Poets and artists are welcome in the Medici palace and Lorenzo was known to have supported Renaissance artists like Michelangelo and Botticelli. He himself wrote poetry. This attitude towards humanism, which was deeply rooted in Lorenzoââ¬â¢s appreciation for the Greek mythology, has facilitated the humanistic movement in the Renaissance. The case of the poet and humanist scholar Angelo Poliziano demonstrates this point. Poliziano was taken into the Medici household after he caught the attention of Lorenzo through his epigrams. He studied in the extensive Medici library and was charged to educate Lorenzoââ¬â¢s eldest son. His most important work, however, was his contribution to Lorenzoââ¬â¢s compilation of the Raccolta Aragonese (Aragon Collection). Here, he aided Lorenzo in the re valuation of vernacular poetry which came to characterize the increasing use of the Italian vernacular in literature in addition to the Latin language. Poliziano eventually brought his humanistic works with him as he travelled and stayed in several Italian estates such as the Gonzaga court in Mantau where he wrote Favola dââ¬â¢Orfeo (The Fable of Orpheus) (Cirigliano 217). Political Influence When his father died in 1469, Lorenzo deââ¬â¢ Medici began a steady ascent to power. His familyââ¬â¢s wealth enabled him to rule Florence in de facto capacity. The city council contained his surrogates and his domination of the polity was achieved through clever manipulation, coercion, bribery and even strategic marriages. Lorenzoââ¬â¢s excellent grasp of Florentine politics was attributed to an early grooming in his younger years. The influence of his grandfather, Cosimo de Medici, the man responsible for the maintenance of peace and balance among the northern Italian states, also did its part. There are several crucial events that displayed Lorenzoââ¬â¢s political acumen and cleverness but his altercation with the papal authority during the time of Sixtus IV demonstrated this best. The conflict stemmed from the so-called Pazzi Conspiracy, wherein members of the Pazzi family and their cohorts tried to assassinate Lorenzo in Florence (Najemy 352). They operated under the support of the Archbishop of Pisa and the reigning Pope Sixtus IV. When the attacked failed, the perpetrators of the attack
